Hi Janelle & Willem,
What a great idea this blog is! Dr. Colbert prescribes lots of laughter as your best medicine, so you can count on me to be as weird as usual. We continue to pray for your healing every night and trust in God’s goodness and mercy.
Much love to you all from Michigan,
Heather, Dan, Elena and Max
Janelle ,
Thank you for sharing with us through this blog. You truely have many spirits pulling for you. You are in my thought daily as are Willem and the children. I remember a few years ago I was asked to pick peolple to represent different colors. You came to mind quickly for white. You give off a sense of goodness, peace, sincerity and love in all you do, which are the qualities I assocoate with the colr white. Yvonne was orange in case you wondered, spunky, beautiful and filled with laughter.

Janelle,
We here are praying for you and will continue to pray for your family. You are truely a blessed woman in so many ways and an inspiration to many. Your spirit is so strong and you are so loving to worry about all of us during this time. Please always know that you and all your boys are loved and we are with you in spirit and love.
Janelle and family,
Thank you so much for setting up this webpage! This is wonderful. Also, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It is such a source of encouragement to hear of your journey. Please know that we are with you when you are dancing in the sunshine, when you are in the midst of a thunderstorm and when you are in the dark moments. May you continue to feel the loving arms of God holding you close to Him.
Janelle – Were to start…First I would like to tell you how much I love you!!! You were the one that brought baby John and I out of the rain so long ago and welcomed us into your life. How our friendship has grown…so alike…and yet so different, but always sisters in Christ! With our roles as mothers and our crazy love of decorating our friendship has turned into “friends for life”. How terrified I was to hear the news of the tumor…(this sadness I have felt before with you… with your news of baby Jakob at your 20 week ultrasound) With that news, we held each other and cried and cried…unsure of what was to be of the future. Praise God for Jakob and the joy he has brought your family!!! With this new news… I have cried and cried…asked why… and prayed! I have prayed a lot… I know that God has answered my prayers with your amazing recovery from surgery. As we have talked…I know you feel His strength. I will continue to pray for you and your family… for His continued hand on your life and for your continued healing…
I am so thankful that we had this “girls weekend” scheduled…it will be the perfect time for us to just hangout, to laugh and to cry…and of course to decorate together!!
Hi Sweet Janelle. We have printed your darling Easter picture, put it on the fridge, and pray for you many times a day. Here is what the Lord has given us to pray for you:
“And the God of all grace, who called YOU to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself RESTORE you and make you STRONG, FIRM, and STEADFAST.” I Peter 5:10
With all our love and prayers,
Susan and Cairy Littlejohn, Peter, Graham and Sophie
Aunt Jan,
I really liked your pictures. I have been praying for you. In my Sunday School class I made a prayer request for you and your family. Give all the boys kisses and hugs from me. Tell Jakob he looks like a big boy in his walker and I am proud of him. I hope I get to see you soon. It is ok if I have to share my mom with you for a while until you are better. I love you very much.
Kelsey
dear mom,
I hope you get better soon. I felt lonely when you were at the hospital. Now I feel better. I hope that medecine takes the tumor away.
Sincerely, Luke
Wow, what great news that the tumor was not a stage 4. What a differance one word makes. Praise the Lord!. Our prayers are with you all everday and more. Thanks for updating the site so we know whats happening.
Janelle and Jakob,
I got your message. My prayers are with you. You seem to be loved and supported by many, and your Faith is strong. I am really proud of you!!
I’ll see you next week. Let me know if something changes. Remember, you must look out for what is best for YOU right now. Give Jakob a hug for me.
In the first place I am happy that the surgery of Jakob went well. I am living in Holland
What struck me your son has the same name as my father Jakob and written in the original verson without a c This name dates in my family from 1750.
I wonder how the name Jakob came in your family.
Hoping to hear from you, I remain
with kind regards
“...fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior...”
Thank you
Thank you for all of your prayers and support. God's love, peace and promises are sustaining us in this storm. This is a place where you can be updated on my treatment and journey and where you can post messages. Thank you for being God's arms to us during this time. Most days I feel very peaceful and assured that good things are going to come of this journey just as they did with Jakob.
